I was just stepping into my warmed up truck in the driveway this morning when Steph yelled out Elk Herd! I scrambled for my camera in my bag as a large herd went rambling by our house heading towards Ski Hill Road. I must have pushed the wrong buttons because most of the video was trashed but I extracted a short clip and created a loop.
The herd was huge, much larger than this video shows. Pretty cool having nature in your backyard. Steph’s boss told her they were probably down here in the valley to avoid the wolves. Makes sense to me…
I remember Dillon telling Steph and me that there was big animals by the mail box. Next minute there was a large herd of elk in your yard. Wow what a view.
