Art Boxes

I’ve been watching our local artists painting terrific art on utility boxes, all summer long.

As major construction roared around them, they breathed the fumes, and contributed their talents to our community.

A contest is being sponsored by the Teton Arts Council, and voting is going on now through Oct, 31.   Evaluate these works of art, and cast your vote Here!

If you would like to see them in person, here’s a Map. Click the markers for info…

1 – Bugs & Blooms – Jaine Lewis

3 – Birds of the Seasons – Helen Miller

4 – Outhouse – Teri Furniss

5 – Swans – Julia Hibbert

  1. Wow, Jim! Thanks for the great photos of all the boxes. I think the artists have made some pretty cool images to decorate our town. It is going to be hard to vote for just one! Drive Safe! Jenn

  2. They are very sweet. I didn’t realize there was so many great shots!

Where is the picture that you took with them doing the grain?

  3. Thanks Jim! This is a wonderful way to thank and pay tribute to each artist for the beauty they’ve spread around Driggs. Great work to all ! :)

  4. This post has become quite popular :-) Thanks everyone for dropping by! I just realized today that I hadn’t synced the SlideShow to the actual sequence. Fixed…

I also dropped the tent photos from #5. Bring the SlideShow up to full-screen, click Show info, gather the family and make your choice.

  5. Hey old man, thanks for sharing these. You have some talented people there. I did my vote and hope my favorite won. Let me know the results.

  6. Talented people, and beautiful country for inspiration!

…and what’s this old man stuff? I’m still moving, working, loving and creating. Life is good, young man :-)
