Cupcakes

Steph went to a baby shower the other night and the only food they served was a bunch of small cakes, baked in thin paper cups, with frosting and sprinkles.

This is the photo she took at the event, and I just had to paint it, before posting it.

Maybe I had a bad experience with cupcakes as a kid, but I just can’t eat them…

  1. Hey! I love the website. Your photos look so much better than the ones I take. haha. I understand how you feel about the cupcakes – for me, there’s just too much frosting! How’s your Christmas going?

Question: what media do you use when you paint?

  2. You covered a lot of content to make it down this far Vancie. I’m flattered that you like my blog.

My Christmas was very nice and I hope yours is going well!

I don’t know if I’ve admitted to my painting technique anywhere here on this blog, but you asked, so here’s the answer:

It’s all computer generated. I pass one of my photos to a program called Corel Painter Essentials 4, select the painting technique, and let it do all the work.

What results is an original digital work of art. I wish I could say I layed paint to canvas and then re-shot it, but my talent is coding, not painting.

There you go Vanci, you’ve outed me :-)
