I finally got really tired of reading about microwave ovens killing us and did something about it. The concept that microwaves are destroying the nutrients of food by scrambling their molecules in the course of heating the food, actually makes sense.
So what to do? We don’t use our microwave for cooking, just reheating leftovers, but if it’s killing the nutrients of the leftovers, what the hell!
On Monday I bought three items from Amazon and my Prime account had them sitting in the driveway this afternoon. The big ticket item was the Breville BOV800XL convection oven. This thing is pricey and smart, with great reviews. We’ll see how it shapes up as the freaking holidays steamroll down on us…
I also bought the Vornado ATH1 Whole Room Tower Heater for my office. My old space heater needed retiring and this unit seemed very good.
The last item sitting in my Amazon WishList that made it to shipment was the Tek Pal Remote Control. I’ve been wanting a big button TV controller sitting on my desk to quickly change channels and most importantly, mute the stupid idiots quickly.
