Air Planes

Our airport here in Driggs is very cool! It has a world class runway constructed with stimulus dollars that can handle the rich mans jets, a great restaurant called the Warbirds which feeds the rich and the locals taste, and a Museum full of cool vintage planes. Driving down Hwy 33 you often see an old plane or two hanging out on the tarmac strutting their muscle and vintage style. Today I pulled over and stuck my camera lens through the fence and took a couple of shots.

The jet was easy to identify by it’s numbers, it’s an A4D Skyhawk owned by a guy down in Wilson and probably stored here for his occasional joyride. I had to dive into the Teton Aviation site to identify the old Navy prop plane, called the Albatross.

Here’s a video of the jet ramping up!
