Flat Screen

I was feeling sort of technologically challenged yesterday. That’s not good for a guy that’s been in the computer business since 1969 and thinks that he’s pretty hot stuff when it comes to all things technical.

The pathetic little old tube TV that I stole from Steph’s VCR watching setup was cutting off content. The quality was good for a tube, just small. My daddy always said never have a TV smaller than your computer monitor…

The Super Bowl was coming up so I bit the bullet and we drove to Walmart and I bought a new TV. I wanted something mid-sized that wouldn’t overwhelm my office and I settled on the 32 inch Samsung 4003 LED, for just $300 out the door. The Super Bowl is about to start, and I’m very pleased with the setup. Go Niners!

  1. The outcome was sad, a couple of plays the other way could have turned it around. I recall saying that to Riley when the Hawks lost recently.

At least the game looked good here in my office :-)

p.s. Too bad the power didn’t go off when Beyonce was on stage, or maybe that’s what broke it…

  2. Love your new T.V. Hope Piper doesn’t sneak in there to watch it and decide to play with it. That game had me on my yelling game.
