Snow Spotted

We just had a nice little storm blow through and it dropped some rain in the valley and blew out the remnants of our summer smoke. It also dusted the hills behind Pete’s house with the first snow of the season.

Riley and Jess are visiting for a few days, arriving Thursday, and the weather and air quality should be perfect. A trip up to the Targhee ski lift is planned, which should be spectacular, and this little dusting will be long gone :-)

  1. Actually, I am. This is our seventh winter here and I know what to expect. I know our yard will have four feet of snow for six months. I know that I will freeze my ass off some days. I know my heart will nearly stop as the brakes on my bus lock up as I slide towards an intersection. I know that my days will be longer as I wait for the ice to melt from my windows.

But, I’m ready. If I wasn’t willing to put up with this, just to be in Paradise, I’d be long gone…

As to fun with the kids, you bet!
