Photos converted to paintings
Beach Eclipse
This is what it’s going to look like when the Eclipse hits the Oregon Coast just north of Fishing Rock.
Here’s the original.
Alien Gesture
This is a painting I just created from a photo taken recently by the Hubble, of a galaxy many light years away. Do you think they’re trying to tell us something? (original)
Trick
Or treat…
Noname
I installed Autodesk Sketchbook on my Nexus 10 and then spent a few hours seconds creating this little guy with my index finger. (btw: his name is Noname).
Double Fisting
Two Pronto Pup corn dogs at the fair. It was breakfast and lunch for this poor old lady.
Redeye Mountain
Believe it or not, this geographic anomaly is within one mile of downtown Driggs. Leave it to your trusty old photo-blog journalist to discover it!
Cache Bridge
His & Hers
I took this photo of authentic old outhouses last week off of South Bates Road and converted it to a painting. Note the hitching post in front. In the old days couples could chat while taking care of business, and their horses could graze.
Spider Witch
I love creating original content. Everything about this painting, with the exception of the software that created the final effect, is mine. I took this photo back in the nineties at Beer Bottle beach along the Green River in Kent, WA. The river was at flood stage which forced the spiders to build a web above the water to survive.
This painting was rendered last night…
Cow 9231
We have a lot of cows in the Valley, but 9231 is special. Every time I take a drive down Packsaddle Road I see this animal standing by the side of the road, staring at me. I’ve come to recognize it by the number tag and sometimes I have dreams about Cow 9231…
Front Porch
We don’t have much company these days. I’ve invited the neighbors over but they say they can’t get in the front door. I know we have some issues with the porch but come on, what’s a little snow?
Betty
Betty is my most prolific commenter and she is also Steph’s mom. In honor of all the great comments she’s left here I’ve created a painting based on a photo taken last year while she was working on a puzzle during her recovery from a fall.
Piper At Door
Piper appeared at our door June 17, 2011. She has since integrated into our family of three, which was once two. If you look deep into her eyes you see a sense of knowing that she chose her new family well. Her presence here is magical…
Valentines Bouquet
I had the Broulim’s florist put together a bouquet for Steph today and I dropped it by her office a day early. Here it is textured and painted…
