Steph got back from visiting family and grand-kids in Washington state last night so I used my blazingly fast new computer and my well established tools to whip up a 72 image montage of her trip. Click the photo below to see it:
I was going through an old backup drive and found this photo of Brian and Andrea from a July 2010 camping trip we all made up to Yellowstone.
I took this short video on Christmas of baby Ethan practicing walking:
It was a fine family Christmas tonight at my sister’s house along with Brian Andrea and Annie, Dave Catherine and baby Ethan, Dave’s mom and sister, and New York Lizzie.
I captured 78 photos of the evening which you can see by clicking the one below, enjoy!
And, you can watch the slideshow here if you like.
Sometimes family has to cross a continent to meet and bond with each other. Stephs older brother Butch and her grand-daughter Lily are a great example.
We had Thanksgiving dinner tonight at Huntsman’s Springs, the ritziest place in town. Steph and I started out by jumping into the black Subaru that pulled up to our driveway precisely at 1400 where my nephew Brian jumped out and I took over as designated driver. The first stop was Dave and Cat’s house where Dave showed off his new used Porsche, his new baby, and his wife whom I first met when she was the baby’s age.
At 1600 we headed to Huntsman’s and had a terrific meal. Great food, great family, great time. Click on the photo below to see the shots I took along the way.
I had a couple of great outings with my nephew Brian today. He walked over from next door this morning and we power walked towards town down the road that separates our sub-division from Miller Ranch. He commented about the fast pace I was setting, which I recognized as my treadmill speed.
We made another trip out this afternoon for a great soak at the Huntsman Springs spa. This is the driving range next door…
Steph’s sister Sandy, husband Jimmy, daughter Victoria and special guest, little Emma, are visiting us for a few days and we had a barbeque last night with Brian and Andrea (Trixie :-). The clan had a near miss on the journey to our neck of the woods when an idiot crossed over the center line and forced Jimmy to swerve into a barrier to prevent a head-on. Fortunately everyone was OK and the truck was still drivable. Click the photo for a few more pics.
Who would have thought this old risk taking hippy would make it this far, I certainly didn’t. Anyway, it’s a beautiful birthday here in the Valley, Brians getting the grill out, family is dropping by, and I’ll add a bunch of photos when the day ends…
Update: Had a fine birthday, click the photo below for some pictures:
My sister had the family over to her hacienda today for brunch. All three kids, spouses, new baby, Steph and I, along with the kids dad from Orinda, two dogs, and a cat.
The kitchen chatter was suddenly shattered by a loud explosion from sis’s giant state of the art blender when a kitchen knife left inside met the units carbon blades. The knife lost… The food was great, the setting on the porch with a view of the Tetons was classic and the dogs went vole hunting in the yard.
The men decided to ride their bikes up to Grand Targhee, Steph and I came home to our very clean cat, and another Teton Valley day is in the books…
Had barbeque with my next door neighbor nephew Brian this afternoon and played around in his magical music room. I brought my own toys…
Here’s the video:
Steph was going through some old photos today and discovered one stuck behind another in a frame, that she didn’t know existed. That’s pretty cool!
The picture shows her sister Wendy with Steph’s kids on her lap. It should be noted that both Junior and Melissa have now given her a brand new grand-daughter each…
My buddy Dave and my niece Catherine brought their newborn baby over to Brian’s house today. Good family times…
My nephew Brian and his lady Andrea dragged me out of my hunkered down Bing Maps coding state today and we had wings and drinks downtown. Brian recently got back from a Honduras snorkeling vacation with Drew and shared a couple of pictures with me, which I now share with you…
