Local Tourist

I drove into town this morning to just walk around and grab a variety of shots with my new camera in pure Auto Mode, where the camera gets to make the decisions about white-balance, contrast, saturation and all those other little photography goodies.

For a hundred dollar point-and-shoot, it did pretty good. I’ve had some expensive photography equipment over the decades and now I’m into something I can carry in my front pocket that’s easy to use and doesn’t cost too much.

The results in Auto Mode were slightly on the bland side for my taste so I used my photo re-sizer to apply slight image enhancements to the batch:

  1. Looks like the Curves still has their Christmas decorations up. Good to know if I ever make it to Driggs to visit with you I can still go to exercise at Curves. Your camera is great and takes very clear photos on automatic. Don’t spill anything on it! ;-P

  2. I never knew Curves was women only until recently and as to the x-mas decorations, welcome to the sticks!

I’m very pleased that these new photos are sliding across your I-Pad clearly. Fond memories of your couch, and the Pad!

Tomorrow is the Fair and I’m going to take a hundred or more pictures. I can turn the display off in the back, compose through the view-finder, turn off the option that shows the photo, and listen for an audible click.

Should be great fun! The only possible liquid I’m going to spill on it is the saliva drooling from my mouth as I raise it to my eye!
