I’m loving this Summer of doing whatever I want and going wherever I want to go! But, being a programmer at heart, sometimes I need to hunker down within the elements of my crazy fast computer with the huge flat-screen monitor, and write code.
So, here’s a little something I whipped up today: The Map Ruler! Drag the marker around to create a line between two points, showing the distance between the points, then continue to drag either point around and have fun!

Somewhat difficult to do on an iPad as a tap means enlarge as well as grab a pin and to tap and drag a line also enlarges the map and sends the pin point flying across the world to places unknown.
Ok, this is cool. Sure takes a lot less time to figure out how far some place is.
Thanks for the feedback Skoge… All I know now is the PC world, and I design my apps for it, always have. If they somehow work on an Apple device at all, that’s great.
On a side note, I almost went to work for Apple back in the late 70’s. My life could have branched much differently…
