The new tree is up. It was left behind at one of my sisters rental properties, by some folks in a hurry to get out of town.
Very nice, and expertly decorated by the crafty miss birthday girl Steph. It still needs a top decoration, but that’s why god made dollar stores.
And yes, I know we live in the Rockies surrounded by real trees, but this was free.

I love your fake tree! Fake trees are a much kinder way to celebrate the holidays anyway. :)
Beautiful tree. Free things are always great.
Your very right Karen. I can’t remember the last real tree I had, but I do remember the hassle. Getting it home (in our area, cutting it down first). Putting it in a stand with water. Worrying about it drying up and burning your house down. Getting rid of it…
I suppose if you like the smell of Pine, there’s a can for that. :-)
We also had tinsel, which ended up in the trash because we have a cat now!
Especially free things that will last for years…
I love your tree and home, we just have to come see you. I’d love it.
