Steph got me out of my warm office this evening to look at some tracks she spotted in the yard. They were big, about 5 inches across, and they looked like bear. I dropped the contrast down a bit for this shot and they certainly appear to be black bear tracks.

Is it safe for Piper?
Piper’s been hibernating lately.I let her out for a bit before we go to work but I always open the garage door first (loudly) and then scope it out before she goes out. She also has a couple of vehicles to duck under if necessary. As Spring rolls around, the time she spends outside will correlate with the decreased risk. Funny how that works…
