I took my Syma drone over to the High School this morning. I needed a large grassy space to get a handle on the controls without worrying about trees. My flying abilities are not quite ready for prime-time yet, but I’m getting there:

It’s the landings you need to practice on. Are there laws there about flying those? Someone flew one above a fire here and got in the way of the plane trying to douse the fire. And some guy decided to fly one across the Golden Gate Bridge and it crashed onto the roadway. They also can’t interfere with airport traffic or emergency people, especially since this kid made his flying machine able to have a gun mounted and the ability to fire it.
Yea, landing practice is next. I’m up to speed with all of the stories you mentioned and the only thing I’m going to use my little drone for is to find Piper in the field at dusk when she refuses to drag her little cat butt back inside.
Oh my gosh! That was awesome. That thing really goes up high. What a great view from way up there. I really like how clear the videos are.
